Geocellular Supplier Evidence Checklist

Run this 8-point check against any crate supplier — including Storm Manage — before you specify a geocellular stormwater tank. Tick each item the supplier can actually evidence. Run the checklist

Why it matters: establishes the crate’s short-term vertical strength — the starting point every design factor is later applied to. A traceable report number lets you check it.
BS EN 17150:2019
Why it matters: plastic crates creep under sustained load, so only a creep programme yields a strength you can trust for a 50-year design life. A short-term number cannot substitute for it.
BS EN 17151:2019
Why it matters: an ultimate strength is not a design strength. Without γm and the derived design value you cannot legitimately check your load case.
CIRIA C737:2016
Why it matters: confirms the unit is a specified, conforming stormwater box against the product standard — not a generic plastic component sold as one.
BS EN 17152-1:2019
Why it matters: a third-party accredited result carries more weight than a test merely witnessed at the supplier’s own laboratory. You need to know which one you have.
ISO/IEC 17025
Why it matters: both shallow and deep cover can govern the design. A single number hides which case controls your installation.
CIRIA C737:2016
Why it matters: construction plant is often the worst load case — heavier than the finished-condition traffic the tank is later designed around.
EN 1991-2 / CIRIA C737:2016
Why it matters: useful assurance, yet not legally required. The binding gate is the per-project CIRIA C737 classification score agreed with the water company and the Lead Local Flood Authority.
