Specifier’s Evidence Scorecard for Crate Suppliers

Tick what a supplier can actually hand you. The score tells you how much of the structural argument you would be signing on their behalf. Run it on Storm Manage too — we score ourselves in public further down.

Part 1 — The Four-Question Load Test

Applies to every load claim on their datasheet

Part 2 — The Evidence Pack

How Storm Manage scores on its own scorecard

We score 68 / 120. We can evidence the kN/m² rating, the test standard reference, the vertical and lateral short-term data, the installed-orientation values, and a clear approval statement. Our published figures name the lab, the report number and the temperature conditioning.

We cannot yet tick two: the EN 17151 long-term creep report, and third-party approval (BBA / Kiwa / WRc). That is the honest position, and the reason the checklist exists. Ask every supplier for both — and notice how many of the datasheets you are comparing simply do not mention them.

Scoring is a procurement aid, not a structural approval. A high score means a supplier can support your designer’s calculation; the calculation itself is still a CIRIA C737 exercise at your cover depth, groundwater and traffic load. Storm Manage self-score updated July 2026.
